In North Savo area, the key players University of Eastern Finland, Savonia University of Applied Sciences, Savo Vocational College and Kuopio University Hospital have, under the coordination of Business Center North Savo, developed an uniform operating model for identifying, protecting and utilizing intellectual property rights (see image below). The operating model and related organization-specific guidelines have now been published and can be found via the links below.
One of the most important tasks of Business Center North Savo is to promote the commercialization of innovations in various ways. One of the most important success factors in commercialization is the speed of the commercialization process. Thus, the development of areas that improve the speed of the process is also important.
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) protect, manage and commercialize of the results of development work. These rights can both prohibit and authorize the commercial exploitation of the results.
The commercialization process includes intellectual property rights (IPR) and their professional management.
